Young Minds, Making a Difference

Young minds are making a difference in the world we live in regardless of how they do it. This concept is not just about numbers. The gamut of happiness, indifference, chaos, regret, and sorrow bespeak real emotions, real people.

My mission is to understand these emotions and make a stand, especially on things I value most.
I weather each day by exploring ways to improve the lives of people, especially the youth, in my district in Surigao del Norte. I want to help them rise above their circumstances and make a difference in their lives and eventually, in the lives of others.

I take risks and hurdle challenges that come my way and continue to move on to the next right thing to do. I seek refuge in familiar territory – my constituents with whom I always feel a connection.

I believe in the power of young minds and in their ability to make beautiful changes and emerge triumphantly. Every cloud has a silver lining: the tiniest step holds the promise of being big. My role is to bring out such greatness in a yearning heart.

Fate it was that had brought my father to public service. Dream it was that made me take the same path.
